Snowy Mountains Country Club is located in Berridale.
SMCC, founded in the early 1950s, is a well established course, at 850m altitude. It measures 5,830m for men, par 71, with a slope of 124, and 5,485m for ladies, par 72, with a slope of 125. It is similarly rated to altitude courses such as Leura, Springwood, Bowral and Moss Vale. The course is located 2.5km south of Berridale, parallel to the main Koscisuzko Road.
The walking is level, and the course represents a good test for all standards. It is included on all golf GPS systems. Importantly, the fairways and greens have full watering, which makes for a green course, available all year round.
Social golfers and social clubs are welcome at all times. The club has regular competitions on Wednesdays and Sundays. Golfers with a current Golf Australia handicap are most welcome to join the competitions. Please contact the Captains on (02) 6457 1424 for playing arrangements. The main clubhouse is open during competitions, but the locker rooms and toilets are always open for social players.
Other than competition days, an honesty system operates, with modest green fees, that are placed in a box at either the 1st or 10th tee, which also provides visitors with a receipt and scorecard.
SMCC also has a Town Club, in central Berridale, which is open every day, except Public Holidays, from 3.30pm to 7.30pm, and includes a bar, and special meal nights. So, please come and enjoy our wonderful course, in the heart of the Snowy Mountains.
