Lavender House in Railway Park

Lavender House in Railway Park

Lavender House was built back in 1888 and still showcases today the region's prize-winning lavender varieties.

The historic red brick Lavender House at Railway Park was once the convent for the sisters of St. Joseph. St Mary MacKillop, Australia’s first saint, visited the convent twice around the turn of the 19th Century. It now houses a beautiful array of locally-produced lavender products, local historic information and tourist information.

Essential lavender oil distillations and talks can be arranged with prior notice.

A visit to Lavender House allows you the chance to soak up the history of the area and experience the delights of lavender.
