Following the recent announcement of direct international flights between Singapore and Canberra later this year, Tourism Snowy Mountains will be attending a trade mission with the ACT government to Singapore, 16-18 March to develop business relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Objectives of the trade mission will be to:
Highlight the Snowy Mountains as a year-round destination, showcasing the region’s incredible attractions, activities, events and accommodation.
Develop a partnership with Tourism Australia SE Asia Regional Office to support future initiatives across consumer, trade and business events channels.
Develop business relationships with key trade distribution partners including wholesalers, retail agents, professional conference organisers, education agents and business events stakeholders.
Establish a relationship with Singapore airlines and build a program of marketing activities to promote and leverage the new “Capital Express” route into Canberra.
Strengthen relationships with leisure, corporate, business events and general media to promote the Snowy Mountains and leverage media hosting opportunities and coverage of Canberra.
Build cultural, business and market knowledge of the Singapore market.
Present collaboratively with the ACT and surrounding areas close to the Snowy Mountains, suggested itineraries and touring route options that will drive visitation.
